Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Temple of Heaven, a praying and sacrificial place of the Ming and Qing Emperors and followed by a “Flea Market”

D02 Beijing

Breakfast at hotel  

Full day tour includes Great Wall (Badaling Section), which was built in 770-475 B.C., climbing on top of 2484 miles long Great Wall is really amazing.  Summer Palace, the summer-residence of the former emperors with one of the biggest and best preserved gardens in China.  Visit a pearl factory en route and experience 45 mins of Foot Massage afterwards

D03 Beijing

Breakfast at hotel  

Visit Tiananmen Square where the Mao’s Mausoleum and the Congress Hall are located, then the Forbidden City with the emperors palace in the heart of Beijing (So called because it was off limits for 500 years, covering an area of 250 acres, protected by an 10.7m high wall, marked off by towers at each corner)  

Lunch at local restaurant  

Visit the Hutongs, lanes or Alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live, witness the vicissitude of the city by a trishaw.

D04 Beijing/ Datong

D05 Datong

Breakfast at hotel 

Visit Hanging Temple, built in 1400 years ago, hosts worship for the Taoists, Confucians and Buddhists, the temple is hanging on the middle of the cliff and is still in perfect conditions after so many years.  Afterwards, visit a cave house en route. 

Lunch at local restaurant  

Visit Yungang-Grottoes, which comprises of 53 caves and more than 51000 statues, the grottoes are an outstanding example of the Chinese stone carvings from the 5th and 6th centuries. The Five Caves created by Tan Yao, with their strict unity of layout and design, constitute a classical masterpiece of the first peak of Chinese Buddhist art, and then visit Huayan Temple with the nine dragon wall.

D06 Datong/ Taiyuan/ Pingyao

Breakfast at hotel  

Transfer to train station and depart for Taiyuan by train K7807 (09h05 / 14h32) 
Arrival Taiyuang and proceed to visit Jinci Temple, which is located 25km to the southeast of Taiyuan City, a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscapes.  Lunch at local restaurant en route. 

Visit Family Qiao’s Courtyard, with the area of 8724 square meter, the courtyard was the house of the richest family Qiao in Qing Dynasty in China, though 2 centuries has bee passed, it still keeps its original splendor in architectural style 

Proceed to Pingyao by vehicle and transfer to hotel

D07 Pingyao/ Xian

Breakfast at hotel  

Soft hiking tour in Pingyao, where is 90km southward from Taiyuan, the capital of the Shanxi Province. Pingyao Ancient Town is one of the four best-preserved ancient cities in China, then visit the museums and explore the life of local people 

Lunch at local restaurant   

Transfer to train station and depart for Xian by train T2535 (20h06 / 07h45 + 1)

D08 Xian

Arrival Xian and transfer to hotel for breakfast 

Visit Old City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda with lunch en route. Visit Bell Tower and Grand Mosque with Muslim’s quarter

D09 Xian/ Mt. Taishan

Breakfast at hotel  

Visit Terracotta Warriors Museum, which houses more than 6000 life-sized terracotta figures of soldiers and horses in perfect battle array are showing the superb sculptural art of that time, lunch at local restaurant. 

Transfer to train station and depart for Taishan by overnight train K1162 (17h30 / 09h16 + 1)

D10 Mountain Tai Shan

Arrival Taishan.  Transfer to the station and then go up to Mt. Taishan by cable car 
Temples visit up at the mountain with lunch

D11 Mt. Taishan / Qufu / Shanghai

Breakfast at hotel  

Down from Mount Taishan by cable car and followed by 02 hrs drive (100 Km) to Qufu - the home town of Confucius. Visit Confucius Temple and the Palace of Confucius Tomb with lunch en route 
Transfer to train station and depart for Shanghai by train T105 (21h53 / 06h03 + 1)

D12 Shanghai

Arrival Shanghai and transfer to hotel for breakfast 

Visit Jade Buddha Temple, which houses a 2M high sitting white jade Buddha, Yuyuan Garden, with history of more than 400 years and is decorated in masterpiece of architecture.  After having lunch at local restaurant, proceed to explore The Bund and Nanjing Road. Late Afternoon cruise on the Huangpu River.
